Fire safety has traditionally been a reactive thing — something you have to notice, grab, and use in a high-stress situation. Solar Pal’s Fireball Extinguisher takes a different approach by offering passive, automatic fire suppression that works on its own.
The Fireball Extinguisher is a compact unit that activates automatically when it comes into contact with flames. Once triggered, it responds within 3–7 seconds, releasing a mono ammonium phosphate extinguishing agent to help suppress the fire at the source.
Built for long-term reliability, the Fireball Extinguisher has a five-year shelf life. Anyone who’s installed new equipment before knows it can be a bit of a mission — hunting down brackets, fixings, and extra bits. To keep things simple, the Fireball Extinguisher comes with a circular mounting bracket and only needs a few screws to install.
For best results, the unit should be mounted within 30 cm of the potential fire hazard, such as electrical panels, solar inverters, or battery enclosures.
Despite its compact size, the Fireball Extinguisher covers an area of roughly 9–12 square meters, making it ideal for protecting specific high-risk areas. It’s also relatively affordable, which means you can install multiple units across a site without breaking the bank.
It’s important to note that the Fireball Extinguisher is not suitable for Class D fires, which include combustible metal fires and lithium battery fires commonly found in solar energy storage systems. Because of this, the Fireball should be seen as a complementary fire safety device, not a complete fire protection system on its own.
Used alongside traditional fire safety measures — such as standard fire extinguishers, alarms, and properly designed fire protection systems — Solar Pal’s Fireball Extinguisher adds an extra layer of protection, especially in areas where a quick human response isn’t always possible.
